Scope & investment / DOGO Studio / Updated 18 September 2026

What are you actually buying in a launch website?

A useful website budget starts with the business need, customer journeys and content you already have. Custom UI, custom code, art direction, a simple management portal and native search foundations belong to the core; new content and a strategic search launch are dimensioned for the project.

Scope follows the journey, not a page quota.

DOGO’s Commercial Website delivers: A custom-designed, custom-coded website with art direction, a simple management portal and SEO, AEO & GEO foundations built into the architecture and code. Always custom UI and custom code, with a simple management portal included. Scope follows your project, not a fixed page or layout quota.

We agree the pages, unique and dynamic layouts, content types and functionality from the intended experience. A showcase catalogue can be part of the website, with product entries managed through the included portal. Checkout, payments and order management belong to an e-commerce engagement. Astro is the preferred starting point; the requirements determine the final stack and implementation plan.

  • Original art direction and a UI designed for the project, not a pre-designed theme
  • Custom implementation with a simple, authenticated management portal
  • Native search foundations generated from the architecture and content model
  • A written scope, price, approval process and handover — not unlimited production

Build on the material and direction you already have.

The starting review identifies what can be kept, adapted or created. Art direction remains part of the engagement whether the client supplies a strong image library or the project needs new production. Copywriting, photography, film, motion and 3D are selected and costed against the actual need, not a compulsory content bundle.

When useful, a separately scoped Strategic Search Launch adds researched coverage for a local market, specialist niche or real query cluster. It can include a blog, guides or targeted sections with agreed starter content, internal links and an editable publishing workflow. This deepens the native SEO, AEO and GEO foundations; it does not replace them or promise rankings.

  • Agree the reuse, adaptation and production responsibilities before pricing
  • Keep custom UI and custom code regardless of where the source material comes from
  • Select useful search-led sections and first content, not an empty blog
  • Existing identity: Commercial Website; strategic/creative direction: DOGO Direction; broader brand launch: discuss Venture Launch

Put external costs on the same page.

Hosting, domains, paid typefaces, imagery, software subscriptions and specialist integrations can sit outside the project fee. Agree the account owner and recurring cost before choosing a tool.

A handover should make ongoing responsibilities clear: who updates content, who handles technical maintenance and what support has actually been purchased.

  • One-time project fee and payment milestones
  • Recurring hosting or software costs
  • Optional production and integration work
  • Maintenance and support after handover

Compare two proposals on the same assumptions.

Use the same business needs, journeys, content readiness, integrations and approval process when requesting estimates. Ask each studio to identify what is included and how changes are agreed. A flexible architecture needs a clear working agreement, not an arbitrary page allowance.

The prices below are DOGO’s own starting offers in USD. They are not an industry average. The written proposal confirms the scope, applicable taxes, external costs and schedule.

  • Are the UI and implementation custom, and is art direction included?
  • What can your team update through the management portal?
  • Which existing content is reused and which new production is priced?
  • Which search foundations are built in, and what would an optional boost add?
  • What is checked and handed over before publication?
